Wild Violets

Nothing eases the doubt.

Here we go again…

We need to talk this out.

The world’s on fire. Where are you now?

My head spins with angst and pain.

My words revolt with little refrain.

Days go by, into night.

Nothing ever changes,

what’s wrong is right.

Birds chirp, wistfully at my window sill.

Unaware of all around that is corrupt.

Violets grow gracefully on a slopping hill.

Scatter the shattered, force through, erupt.

My mind will not settle, always searching.

Through confinement, looking still.

I wish the world was done with their madness.

I’ve certainly had my fill.
